October 23, 2011 | Inaugural Rocktoberfest 10 Miler Big Success
The First Annual Rocktoberfest 10 Miler was a huge success. The race featured an Octoberfest and Rock n' Roll theme. The scenic course ran through and around the beautiful North Collier Regional Park.

July 31, 2010 | Runners Battle it Out at the Eagle Lakes Extreme 5k
The second event in the Morningstar Music Summer 5k Series was held at Eagle Lakes Park. The Eagle Lakes Extreme 5k had nearly 140 sign up to compete through the scenic course.. The hot and humid conditions didn’t stop athletes from all ability levels from coming out to enjoy the festivities in one of Collier County’s beautiful parks.
The race for the overall winner was between Carlos Miranda and Perry Small. They battled back and forth on the 3.1 mile course with Miranda ultimately edging out Small by a mere 5 seconds with a time of 17:04. The race for the first overall female was not as close as the men as Lisa Buohler finished almost 2 minutes ahead of the next female. Her time of 19:17 gave her a second victory in a row in the series and helped grow her lead in the series points standings. Another athlete taking the top spot for the second race in a row for her category was female grand masters winner Mary Rine with a time of 22:48.
The series finale event will be held on August 28th at North Collier Regional Park and will be the final stop on the Morning Star Music Summer 5k Series.

The first annual Sugden Stride 5k at Sugden Park in Naples was the first event in the three race series. The overall male winner was Joshua Pelletier with a time of 17:52 followed closely by Richard Crum (17:55) and Warner University's 400m star Mackenson Timothee (18:13). Jasper Bell (19:12) coming all of the way from Miami finished first in the Male Masters category. Grand Masters winner for the men was Galen Hackler with a time of 19:46.
The female overall winner was Lisa Buohler with a time of 19:33. Female Masters Winner was Anastacia Moreno with a time of 24:56. The Grand Masters winner was Mary Rine finishing the 5k course with an impressive time of 23:20.
